Mývatn Activity has years of experience in showing visitors the Northern Lights. We offer four different Northern Lights tours, where the main aim is to see the Northern Lights, and depending on how long guests would like to stay, we add in other exciting activities and special experiences.
Northern lights 3 - 3 nights in Myvatn area
DAY 1
Guests are met at the airport in Akureyri after a 45-minute flight from Reykjavík at 8 o’clock and driven to Mývatn with a stop at
Goðafoss waterfall. On arrival they check into Sel-Hótel Mývatn, A guided sightseeing tour of the Mývatn area will include such places as the Dimmuborgir (lava fields),
Höfði (a community park), the bubbling mud pools at Hveraleira. After the evening meal, guests are encouraged to take an evening stroll around the area to look for the Northern Lights
– free entrees to the northern light shelter.

A free day for guests to do as they please: simply enjoy a relaxing day in the beauty of Mývatn, or head off for an
action-packed day, depending on what tours or activities are available at the time. Free entrees to the northern light shelter.
DAY 3

DAY 4
Free morning to enjoy what the area has to offer. At 15:00 gests are taken to Akureyri heading to the airport for the return flight to Reykjavík with the 17 o’clock flight.
